A twist hairstyle braid, often called a two-strand twist, involves twisting two strands of hair around each other to form a rope-like pattern, creating a protective style that's gentler on hair than three-strand braids. While basic twists use two strands, some styles incorporate adding hair for thickness (like Senegalese or Marley twists) or secure them with a final three-strand braid at the end for extra hold, creating a "twist braid" that combines both techniques for a tight, defined look.
Hair extensions add length/volume using various methods, while a weave specifically refers to extensions sewn onto cornrowed natural hair, creating a long-lasting, protective style, though "extensions" is often used broadly for all types like clip-ins, tapes, or micro-links that use clips, glue, or beads for temporary to semi-permanent results.
Cornrows are a traditional African hairstyle featuring hair braided tightly and closely to the scalp in continuous, raised rows, often in patterns resembling rows of corn, though they can be simple or intricate. Created with an underhand, upward motion, they serve as a protective style to help hair grow by reducing breakage, protecting against damage, and can last weeks.

I've had Iesha do my braids five times now, and compared to other stylists her prices are affordableI. She's always honest and it's a pleasure to sit in the salon chair and visit with her. Strangers compliment me just about every where I go. For braids there's no other stylist I'd go to. Simply put, she's amazing.

I was concerned about some areas of my hair but she helped me with suggestions and accommodations. My hair is on the thicker side which in my past experience has taken about 7-8 hours but took Iesha half the time.. around 3-4! She's quick with braiding!!

This review is about 4 months overdue but it would be remiss of me not to leave one. As a first time client of Iesha, I felt VERY comfortable. Her salon is clean, relaxing, and very welcoming. She is EXTREMELY professional and you can tell she prides herself on that as well as her work.
She braided my hair in slightly under two hours. She was flexible and willing to work with me on thickness and tightness (I'm a little cautious about my edges, as most of us are). The braids came out beautifully! I Have NEVER received so many compliments on a particular hair style in my life.

You know you have an AMAZING technician when you can manipulate your hair hours after it was done. I left at 1:45P. And, my most recent pic is 4 hours later. I was able to pull it up into a pineapple. AND, my head does not hurt. I will not need to take 1 aspirin!
The last time Iesha did my hair was September 26, 2022. I wore the style for 2 months. And, my hair looked great the day I took the braids out. The only reason I took them out was because I had too much new growth. Also, I washed my hair every 2 weeks because Iesha work will NOT come out!
Iesha is very personable and professional. She was very accommodating and patient in helping my daughter select a style. This was my teenage daughter's first experience with a braider in SoCal and she was very satisfied with the results. The braids were beautiful and completed in about 4 hours which is amazing for a person braiding alone. We will definitely continue using iesha's services. Highly recommend!
I have so many wonderful things to say about Iesha. Where do I start? Her work is very distinctive! I was able to tell point her work on others (braids at least). A lot of the ladies at church had beautiful braids which many recommended!
Communication and scheduling was very easy. She's super nice and friendly. Her rates are affordable and reasonable. Well worth it. She finished in a timely manner. Iesha's professionalism had me coming back!
